IT Assistant
Jordan Paramedic Society is as local, not-for-profit, NGO founded in Jordan in 2012 on the basis of serving, supporting, and motivating the
surrounding community and the MENA region.
JPS aims to provide high quality healthcare to the
disadvantaged and the vulnerable as well as spread
awareness on healthy living and disease prevention.

To qualify for this position, you will need:

ROLE SUMMARY
The aim of this job is to ensure that all program’s activities implemented on the ground are reflected correctly to the information management system and tools. Also to ensure the successful development and implementation of JPS Database, and accurate uploading of data related to the activities of the Project operations on both the JPS Database and the UNHCR (RAIS, Activity info, etc.) Systems.
This position is a key in managing all information related to UNHCR Program, analyzing the new and already existing programmatic components and ensure that all aspects of the program reflected into the System.
Update program’s management on data integrity, new technology solutions related to data collection processes and reporting tools, as well as develop and disseminate the required visualized information reporting.

TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the JPS Database & RAIS Systems
Deliver trainings on JPS Database System for all staff at the camp that requires it to ensure they understand and can use the JPS Database, as well as conduct continuous regular trainings for all JPS Database System’s users.
Administering user accounts for the JPS Database system to ensure relevant staff have access.
Review the data entered in databases regularly in order to locate and fix data entry errors.
Providing ongoing support, advice and training to staff on the Database.
Assist in generating reports and Designing dashboards infographics and writing technical reports as required for management and other staff.
Conduct training sessions to JPS staff members on RAIS systems also to make sure that all the data of activities, services are reflected correctly on RAIS system.
Organize staff access (user accounts) to RAIS system and provide training on the system.
Prepare IT tools for statistical analysis of quantitative data.
Lead the development/upgrade of the offices database.
Prepare clear procedures for the use of RAIS system, and documenting these in the relevant documents;
Plan, and coordinate trainings on database if and when required.
Ensure the necessary support is in place for staff members to effectively and easily use the database
Provide guidance to staff members to efficiently manage their data on computer.
Designing dashboards infographics and writing technical reports from the information management system data
Ensure that the database is of the highest quality.
Managing and supervising information management system for all projects and activities under UNHCR program
Provide support fro electronic data management systems
Medical data management and medical referrals are handled electronically in the health program this assistant is engaged in

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

University degree in Computer Science, information management, software engineering or related field.
3 years’ work related experience in data management
Experienced of working with emergency response projects/programs.
Able to coordinate with other humanitarian actors, including governments, UN agencies, academic institutions, networks, national/local NGOs and community groups

Full Stack Web Developer (PHP - Laravel)

Sustainability Excellence is looking for an in-house Web Applications Developer to continually develop and improve a range of sustainability-related web application and database projects, including our own groundbreaking regional online application: Arabsustainability.com. The web developer will be responsible for the ongoing programming, development, testing, and deployment of these online applications, both front, and back-end.

Responsibilities

Develop new web applications and can add new features and functionality to our existing platforms and applications.
Build a RESTful web services and API.
Manage and administer a large database.
Manage Linux based servers and set up production servers.
Review and improve existing code making sure it is following best practices and guidelines.
Manage existing WordPress websites.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer science or any related field.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral).
3+ years of professional development experience.
Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery) with experience with responsive web design and cross-browser/platform compatibility issues.
PHP MVC frameworks experience with a strong knowledge of Laravel Framework.
Experience in administrating Amazon Web Service (AWS) servers.
Experience in Front End Framework like Bootstrap.
Experience in Content Management systems like WordPress.
Proficiency in using web-developer tools available in browsers.
Applicants should be comfortable using GitHub and version source control.
Desired: Familiarity with Adobe products is a plus.
