SAMS Foundation is a leading advocate for a comprehensive approach to disaster relief and the protection of health systems in the Syrian conflict.
Job Summary
The position herein titled PSS Cross Border Project Assistant . The position will be implemented in SAMS PSS projects inside Syria. The position will require attending to the day-to-day contact and remote supervision of the PSS Centers, that provide PSS activities, through Private SAMS Funding as well as other donors.
Responsibilities
To accomplish the above, the PSS Cross Border Project Assistant is expected to:
- Work closely, yet remotely, with the PSS staff inside Syria in order to provide the necessary supervision and monitoring of activities.
- Provide documentation for the activities occurring in the PSS Centers.
- Assist with coordination and implementation of activities for the PSS Centers.
- Assist the Training Team Leader in coordinating trainings for the PSS staff.
- Attend all Cross Boarder working group meetings and trainings.
- Monitor staff closely in regards to fulfillment of agreed upon job role and duties.
- Liaise with Finance and Procurement departments based on the needs of the PSS Clinics.
- Prepare salary slips and donor financial requirements.
- Prepare and review Procurement Request documents for PSS clinics inside Syria.
- Write monthly narrative reports per donor indicators.
- Provide documentation for the activities occurring in the PSS Clinics.
- Network with other NGOs to expand services provided inside Syria to the PSS Beneficiaries.
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:
- Business or Management related degrees
- Psychology
- International Relations
- Social work
- Humanitarian Sciences
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience.
Other details:
- The PSS Cross Border Project Assistant reports directly to the SAMS PSS Programs Manager.
- The PSS Cross Border Project Assistant must have excellent writing and language skills.
- The PSS Cross Border Project Assistant must be fluent in the English and Arabic language.
- The PSS Cross Border Project Assistant must have experience writing reports.
- The PSS Cross Border Project Assistant must have experience with managing budgets from donors.
- The PSS Cross Border Project Assistant must have experience with data entry and reporting.
